Anxiety – “The Inner Journey”

This is something I am quite passionate about. I was crippled by anxiety for years, a mix of different things, stress, fears, phobias & depression. So I know how it feels, which I think gives me an edge and the drive and compassion to help you overcome it as I did.

Anxiety is quite common and can interfere with daily life and well-being. It can manifest in a variety of ways including feelings of worry, fear, and unease. You may also have physical symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, and restlessness. If left unchecked, anxiety can lead to more serious health issues, such as insomnia, heart disease, and depression.

How does hypnotherapy help?

A key benefits of hypnotherapy is that it can help someone identify and address the root cause of their anxiety. By accessing the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy can uncover underlying fears or past traumatic experiences that may be contributing to this anxiety. Once these underlying issues have been identified, we can work together to develop coping strategies and techniques to manage anxiety in a healthy and effective way. This will be by using a mix of hypnotherapy, IEMT, EFT and some techniques you can use daily at home. I may teach you self hypnosis which can help you relax and reduce stress. It is also especially helpful for anyone who has difficulty falling asleep due to anxiety. We will work on replacing negative thoughts and behaviours with more positive and constructive ones. This can help you feel more confident and in control of your life.

As I said earlier anxiety may be due to a fear or phobia or it might be linked to a childhood trauma or something that’s happened later in life. See my pages on fears & phobias and Trauma release for more information about these.

How many sessions do I need?

The number of hypnotherapy sessions required for lasting change is different for everyone because each is unique in terms of our feelings and experiences. We’ll discuss the number of sessions required at your initial consultation. Hypnotherapy is not a magic wand, it needs input from you too, but it does help you create positive change in a relatively short period of time. Typically for anxiety and stress related issues, a minimum of 3 to 5 sessions are required, sometimes more to get you where you want to be.

What happens after I book in?

Once we’ve had our initial chat, I’ll get you booked in and begin the process of making real change within you and your life. I’ll start with sending you out a questionnaire to fully understand what’s happening and just get some general information about you and explore what you want to achieve including your best hopes for the future as we work together. It helps tailor your individual programme to suit your needs.

At your first appointment I’ll explain to you how the brain works, how we experience emotions in the way that we do and how these can affect us and our habits and importantly what can be done to help you overcome these issues. We will then begin your tailored sessions. I use of mixture of hypnotherapy, IEMT and you’ll also get some exercises to do between our sessions. The first couple of sessions will be a week to 2 weeks apart, then the last couple of sessions will be about 3 to 4 weeks apart. This gives you time to see all these changes taking place. Some changes might be subtle, some might be mind blowing!

I like to call my anxiety sessions “The Inner Journey” as this is exactly what it is. You’re going to make so many changes that begin internally within the subconscious mind. This really will be a journey of change.
